Ahmed Helmy Salem is the General Director of the General Organisation for Physical Planning and holds a PhD in Regional and Urban Planning from Cairo University. He has taught statistical analysis of scientific research in the faculties of Engineering and Urban Planning at Cairo University, in addition to his lectures at the faculties of Engineering at Zagazig University, Qatar University, the University College of the Sultanate of Oman, and the Faculty of Fine Arts at Minya University. He has published and presented more than twenty papers at international conferences in various fields of urban planning. Dr. Salem’s experience also includes work as an urban planner in consultancy offices in both Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
