Cláudia Antunes is an architect and researcher whose work examines the intersections of art, architecture, and public space. She received her PhD in Architecture of the Metropolitan Contemporary Territories from ISCTE–University Institute of Lisbon in 2023. Her dissertation, “Performance City: Art and Architecture in the Construction of Public Space. Interdisciplinarity in the Practice of muf architecture/art”, investigates how creative and spatial practices can support more inclusive and participatory urban environments. Her research interests focus on: architecture, public space, spatial design, urban development, public art, creativity, and urban culture. Since 2024, she has been a researcher at CiTUA – Center for Innovation in Territory, Urbanism and Architecture at Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon. Dr. Antunes holds a degree in Architecture from Lusíada University of Lisbon, completed in 2005. She has collaborated with several architectural studios, working on a variety of architectural projects. She also maintains a background in fine arts, having completed the Plan of Complete Studies in Visual Arts at Ar.Co, Centro de Artes e Comunicação Visual, in Lisbon, 2015.
