Davisi Boontharm
Member and Senior Advisor on Public Space
Davisi Boontharm is an artist, architect, urbanist and university professor. After graduating Architecture in Bangkok, she received her Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Paris and taught architecture and urban design at major universities in France, Thailand, Singapore, Australia, Italy, Slovenia and Japan. Davisi creatively overlaps her unique artistic sensibility and research-based investigations of built and lived environments in a variety of cultural and environmental contexts. Her original “sketch & script” practices explore diverse ways of knowing (re)presenting and the production of knowledge. Besides traditional formats, her experiments include orihon, a Japanese accordion-like sketchbook which, for more than a decade now, has provided a fertile medium for her spatial and experiential experiments and narratives. Davisi has exhibited in Japan, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy and, most recently at GKMM in Split (2025), Shinkenchiku-sha in Tokyo (2025), small format Gallery in Bol (2024), Oris House of Architecture, Zagreb (2024) and the Architecture Biennale 2023 in Venice. She lives between Asia and Europe, currently teaching at Politecnico di Milano, University of Ljubljana and Keio University, Tokyo.
