Faegheh Sarshoghi

Member and Early-career Advisor on Public Space

Fae Sarshoghi is an urban designer based in Sydney whose work focuses on inclusive design, strategic planning, and the everyday experience of cities. She holds a Master of Urban Design from the University of Technology Sydney, complemented by qualifications in planning, construction management, and architecture, which together shape her interdisciplinary approach to practice. Fae currently works within local government, contributing to major structure plans, urban design strategies, and planning policy updates. She is known for her ability to communicate complex spatial ideas clearly, collaborate across diverse teams, and advocate for design approaches grounded in community experience and evidence. Her work often explores themes of walkability, fine-grain urbanism, public life, and the role of planning in shaping equitable and caring cities. Alongside her professional practice, Fae runs “Incluciti,” a small personal project where she explores ideas around inclusive public space, feminist cities, and the intersection of design and everyday life. She also enjoys writing and landscape photography, drawing inspiration from cities and places across Europe and Australia. Across all her work, Fae is committed to fostering more empathetic, accessible, and people-centred urban environments.
