Sociologist, she carries out studies, research and teaching for universities and government agencies in Germany and Italy. From 1998 to 2006, Adjunct Professor of Sociology of Environment, Migration and Local communities (Faculty of Architecture) and Methodology of Sociological Research (Land Use Planning, Urban Planning, and Environmental Planning ) at the University of Palermo. In 2006-2007, Lecturer at the M.A. II “ Integrated Relational Tourism”, jointly held by the University of Palermo and the University of Helwan, Cairo (Egypt). In 2013-2014, Lecturer Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna, Transdisciplinary Gender Course, Faculty of Law.
