Luiz is an architect, urbanist, and professor at Mackenzie Presbyterian University in São Paulo, where he has taught Architecture and Urbanism since 1988. He is also a faculty member of the Graduate Program in Architecture and Urbanism and coordinates the research group Q-URB – Urban Questions: Design, Architecture, Planning and Landscape. His work explores how cities are shaped by public spaces, care practices, and collective life, with a strong focus on contemporary urban challenges. He collaborates with international networks and serves on the Advisory Board on Public Space of City Space Architecture.
