Nevter Zafer Cömert graduated from the Department of Urban Design and Landscape Architecture and subsequently completed his doctoral studies in Urban Morphology. His research focuses on the morphological characteristics of public spaces and how these spatial structures influence user experience, with particular attention to the cultural imprints evident in traditional environments. Cömert has carried out numerous projects on the revitalisation of public spaces, collaborating with civil society organisations and local authorities to produce applied outcomes. In addition to his practical work, he continues his academic research in this field and is currently a faculty member in the Department of Architecture at Eastern Mediterranean University. He also serves as the secretary responsible for membership at ISUF and is the treasurer of the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Engineers and Architects, actively participating in its administrative board.
