Creator of the Mapped Crowd Sourced Storytelling (MCSST) methodology—a phenomenology-based approach to empathic research on urban perception. His work revolves around the intersection of art, architecture, public space, and urban experience. Through both academic and professional practice, he has led experimental explorations that challenge conventional understandings of the city through projects that have received awards, grants, and nominations in Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States, Chile, and Colombia. His research and his work have been published, exhibited, and discussed in journals, newspapers, symposia, galleries, and cultural institutions across Italy, the UK, Colombia, Ecuador, Australia, and China. He has served as professor, project supervisor, juror, mentor, guest lecturer, and critic at institutions in Italy, Colombia, and Mexico. He is currently a professor and final projects supervisor at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (Colombia), senior advisor on public space at City Space Architecture (Italy), research leader for Colombia of the Safe and Sound Cities program (GIB-Switzerland) and director of the Um-welt Institute (Colombia), ASDF Arquitectura (Colombia), and the urban dialogue platform Drink Tank (Colombia & Ecuador). He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the National University of Colombia, with complementary studies in philosophy and project management at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, and in physical comfort and sustainability at UNAM (Mexico). He earned his Master’s degree in Art and Public Space from RMIT University in Australia.
