Walter Nicolino (born 1975) practices as an architect in the fields of architecture, urban planning and interior design through the multidisciplinary studio WNA Walter Nicolino Architects. Walter graduated from Politecnico di Torino, discussing an urban design project that was awarded Honourable Mention in the Archiprix 2003 – World’s Best Graduation Projects. Walter is currently teaching as an adjunct professor in the Architecture and Design Department at Politecnico di Torino and is involved in numerous cultural institutions and universities asa visiting lecturer. He has been working with the Institute of Applied Art and Design (IAAD) since 2017 by coordinating the Interior Design Department and teaching the Space Systems Design course. Walter Nicolino has been an adjunct professor at the Department of Architecture of the Università degli Studi di Ferrara from 2013 to 2019, where he is currently coordinating the multidisciplinary research group MD Next City Lab. Walter, a former founding partner of Carlo Ratti Associati firm, has been featured in numerous publications and exhibitions, including the Venice Architecture Biennale. WNA Walter Nicolino Architects firm’s latest works include a wide range of scales and typologies: from urban regeneration to learning spaces, offices, private houses, as well as research-oriented projects for the public space.
