City Space Architecture is the first non-profit organisation dedicated exclusively to advancing public space knowledge worldwide.
Since its foundation in 2013, it has achieved international recognition, becoming a partner of UN-Habitat, the United Nations Human Settlements Programme, collaborating with the Global Public Space Programme, a member of the World Economic Forum’s Davos Baukultur Alliance, a member of the UN General Assembly of Partners, Research and Academia Constituent Group, and a member of the Global Planners Network (GPN), an alliance of professional planning institutes focused on sustainable development. It is recognised as a research organisation and listed in the Research Organisation Registry (ROR).
City Space Architecture is the publisher of The Journal of Public Space, the first diamond open-access, interdisciplinary journal dedicated entirely to public space, developed in partnership with UN-Habitat, and of the web-magazine Mastering Public Space, a curated collection of open-access content on public space. It is also the initiator of the Public Space Academy, the first free educational programme on public space, developed in partnership with the Ove Arup Foundation.
